ABOUT ME
I am originally from Wisconsin, but spent most of my childhood years in Aurora, Colorado. In 1997, I moved to North Carolina with my family. After earning a B.A. in Psychology from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro, I studied Special Education at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte. I am a National Board Certified teacher in my eleventh year of teaching at Mountain Island. I enjoy being involved in many school initiatives and look for every opportunity to support the education of all students. Currently, I am involved in Positive Behavior Intervention and Support and Inclusive Practices. I am also a member of the Classroom Teacher's Association of North Carolina. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family and playing with my miniature dachshund, Branson. I also enjoy reading, movies, outdoor activities, traveling, and entertaining family and friends. Most of all, I love going to school each day! See you there!
